Description

Discover the former Soviet naval base of Paldiski on this 7-hour guided tour from Tallinn. In a small group of no more than eight, explore hidden wonders amidst the wilderness, including coastal limestone cliffs, Estonia's most romantic waterfall, and the lunar landscape of the Murru prison quarry. Allow your young and entertaining guide to show you places you would never stumble across on your own and share personal stories about Estonia. You also have a chance to sit in the cockpit of an old Soviet army transport airplane.

Your 7-hour tour to Paldiski begins in Tallinn's Old Town at 10am. Meet your local driver-guide and jump into the comfortable minibus.

It's about an hour's drive to the former Soviet military town of Paldiski. Along the way you can admire the Keila-Joa manor complex and waterfall, visit the historic Padise monastery, and explore the lunar landscapes at Murru prison quarry.

Upon arrival at Paldiski, listen as you guide explains the history of the town and how, during the Soviet era, it was completely closed off with barbed wire. You can also take the opportunity to sit in the cockpit of an old Soviet military airplane and have a closer look of the Pakri wind park. Make sure to take a moment to soak up the dramatic views of northern Estonia's limestone cliffs.

During the trip you can enjoy a simple lunch in a local tavern (not included in price). Your tour concludes back at the original departure point at around 5pm.

Please note: A minimum of two people per booking is required.
